Default ATi HD 4850 Single Card DX9 and DX10 Tests

DX10:

Quote:
"Hello again gents. How has release day treated you until now? Scoured all writeups around the web (don't miss Beyond3D's and TechReport's ones, those are two constant sources of quality content). As promised earlier in the closing bits of our architecture investigation, we're back with the performance numbers for a single HD 4850 card, in DX10 titles, with DX9 coming a bit later."
DX9:
Rage3D.com : ATi HD 4850 Single Card DX9 Tests [ Introduction & Setup ]

"We've given you enough of a breather, so time to clock in and get back to work. With the DX10 benchmarks behind us, its time to check out how well the HD4850 behaves in the DX9 playground."

I'm not too sure why you are posting these. It's nothing all that new, heck, even azianai is in the process of getting a crossfire of 'em (or is it 4870's in the end?). :P
The 4870 is a very tasty piece of hardware I must say.

Well, there ARE some DX9 users here, and I thought it was interesting.

*cough*yes, 4870's crossfired*cough*

Yes if you have the money, I say 4870, but if your on a budget (like mua!) the 4850 is a steal!!

Well agreed. The 4850 is a nice performer.

I was able to snatch a 9800GX2 cheaper than 2 4850's, besides I'm stuck with a P5K-E/WiFi-AP so no decent crossfire for me. A crossfire of those and a 9800GX2 give relatively the same perf anyway, so I'm happy with that.
Ah video card, we like ye so much. :P

oh my, that's a nice looking case. better than my rat's nest of a clear case (still waiting to get my good psu back, so it's a rat's nest of adapters and non sleeved cables for the time being, since this 450w unit is just enough to handle everything I have. Maybe).

Also, of course all this comes out before I even get a chance to really use my 3870's to their full potential. Why'd I have to go on vacation... I could have at least had a week with them before they were made obsolete.

e8500@4ghz|Asus P5k-e WiFi| 4gb OCZ ReaperX|2x 3870's|1.3tb storage space|MSI tv tuner.
