Well, going from a Radeon 9550 to the 7900gt, it was almost everything I envisioned graphically. I've tried resisting but I am becoming a hadware enthusiast. Was already a COD/CODUO freak. Dont want to ever go back to where I was. If I keep on these same lines, I may even get into alternative cooling, something I've vowed not to do. There is just something wrong about putting a liquid (conductor) in a CPU case. Phase change is promising though. I have other cooling aspirations if the manufactures cant get their act together.

Well, this isn't designed for the extreme gaming crowd. It's a low priced video card with nice features and image quality and low power consumption. It may be like garlic to a vampire for you, but for others it could be the perfect component for their non-gaming rig! One man's wine is another man's poison... Not everyone uses their computers for playing the latest 3D games at high resolution

Personally, for the market this is intended for, I think it is a great little card.

This card sounds fine for non gaming as you say. It would also be ok for minor games for a young childs computer.

the only thing i didnt like about it was the shoddy screws holding the heatsink.

its kinda funny to think that only a couple of years ago those specs were pretty high end (comparable to a 9600xt in pixel pipelines, and clock speeds 600/800 in comparison to 500/500)

Blake, my post was in jest but on a serious note, I couldn't see buying a card where the heat sink screws could launch inside my case causing a short and possibly frying my system, even if it is just for a non gaming rig. Im greatful for the review but in the same vein, couldn't recommend that card with that potential.

First of all, lets point out this is a review sample....meaning that its probably been aseembled and disassembled many times by different people.
Second, you should always inspect your hardware before installing it....what if during shipment a piece comes off or breaks and you don't notice?
Regardless, we'll get an answer from ASUS as to if this is a problem they see a lot or an isolated incident.
