Default Asus EN9500GT

just recently bought ASUS EN9500GT OC 512MB and after installing it my LCD (Philips 220CW 1680x1050) will always display the wrong resolution (looks like stretched) every time i reboot or reset. Not touching anything i go CONTROL PANEL just to check the resolution and it still says 1680x1050 at 60hz. to solve the problem i press "input" button on the LCD and select "auto" the screen goes blank for 3 secs and it displays the real 1680x1050 resolution. I do this to detect the input method; DVI, DSUB or HDMI. I'm using DSUB. I didn't have this problem using the onboard VGA Intel X3100. Tried to reinstall the drivers (updated) for ASUS and Philips but but the problem is still there. I don't want to press and press "input" every time a reboot. pleas help. thanks.

Hmm, are you able to use a DVI cable? It might solve your problem, and regardless the video quality will be higher as well.

sounds like its jumping to generic monitor instead of the philips driver monitor.
A easy fix would be to just set a custom resolution with Nvidia's display panel program

Are you downloading the latest official drivers from the nvidia website?

I would uninstall any drivers for the monitor then use the DVI cable *looks better using the DVI cable* once you boot up go to windows updates and you should have a driver for the monitor to download.
