Default Asus EN8600GT 256MB Videocard Review

Click the image to open in full size.

We've all fired up RivaTuner, ATITool, and nTune to squeeze out a little more performance out of our videocards, but is there an easier way? Asus thinks so, and they've made overclocking their EN8600GT as easy as turning a dial. Join HardwareLogic as we take 'er for a spin...literally.

Nice review, neat idea.

I wonder if the box and software would work on
another Asus offering like the 8800GT/X? Be interesting
to see.

Kudos to Asus for thinking outside the box! When competition heats up, it's things like this that will set the cards apart. Even if it doesn't offer much overclocking headroom, it's still cool as hell!

And Dread, that would be interesting to know if it works on other cards.

Diggin it!

That little drive bay thing is pretty nifty! What does it display for frames per second when you are on the Windows 2D desktop?

You can do that with the dial, too!

Looks pretty nifty and a great deal for the price. How do you switch between dialing volume, and OCing with the single nob?

You push dial in like a button and it cycles between volume, fan control, and OCing.
