Default AMD releases sub $100 cards

DailyTech - AMD Launches Sub-$100 Radeon HD 3400, HD 3600

Checking on newegg, the cheapest is the HIS or Diamondtech HD3850 for $170 - Radeon HD 3850 RV650 55nm 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail
if the high end 3850s are $170+ then what is the point of the 3600s? it will be nice to see lower end 256MB 3400 for under $100 for budget builds

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I hope someone makes a half-height HD3600 series card. My girlfriend has an Antec Minuet 300 case and an X1600 Pro with HyperMemory that is eating up all her RAM during gaming. It's tough finding a half-height gaming card these days!

There is a half-height video card right there! That's such a weird coincidence.

Yeah, the 3450 will obviously be half-height, but the 3650 is the one that is actually able to play games and that is the one I want to find in half-height.

what is so important about the half height? do you have a smaller OEM system or lanbox?
