| Tweaktown's got a review of the 9800GX2, posted here: NVIDIA's GeForce 9800 GX2 - Early Test! :: TweakTown The whole "anonymous message" thing is pretty lame, but the scores do add up to what I was disappointingly expecting from the card. One thing to note, though. Under Vista their rig with the 9800 scores in the 15,000 range, while mine clocks in at 11,000 with a dual instead of quad and a single "old" G80 GTS. Either they're doing something wrong, or those beta 173 drivers are really crap. | ||||||||||||||

| I would expect the drivers to be just as rough and crappy as the 7950GX2's were. Give it a bit....the drivers will improve. | honestly i expected as much, they weren't gonna just totally tank their 8000 line that soon, i'd think the "10000" line would be where they'll reinvent themselves again. | ||||||||||||||

| judging by the 3dguru review the GX2 is pretty much on par with a dual GTX setup. With the GTX being $400 a piece the GX2 really isn't disappointing at all, and like this review mentions with the proper driver support it can only get better. Here's my beef though, the GTX and the GX2 are both over-priced. To me the standard FPS for any game should be 60+ FPS, anything less and it's just not worth it. With that said you're paying 6-800 for a setup that cannot even run the demanding games at max setting and stay above 60 FPS. Not good value. So, I think it's a great card, but they really need to come down on the price for these cards. Now a "quad" GX2 setup will basically blow everything out of the water. But, you're looking at $1,200 there. Relatively though the GX2 is the single best performer there is right now and the price isn't bad in comparison. But, like I mentioned that's still a lot of coin for gaming. Intel Q6600 EVGA 790i Ultra 2GB DDR3 Patriot 1600 MSI 8800GTS OC (G92) Rosewill 750 watt PSU | ||||||||||||||

| And your right Jay!!! The price for performance is crazy!!!! If money is no option, then hell yea, but for the real folks out there, that just isn't an option!!!! I mean, for Gods sake, who the hell can afford that kind of performance? Not me!!!! And I am sure not many of the folks that frequent this fine forum!!!! | ||||||||||||||

| Just a heads up ClubIT has dropped the price on a couple of their GX2's the PNY and Gigabyte model. Both are around $540 now, which makes a bit more sense, being that essentially these are two GTS' stuck together, and that's about what an SLI GTS would cost. My question now is how is Gigabyte and PNY in terms of support and quality control? From what I understand right now all of the GX2's are the same, so it really doesn't matter what manuf. you get, so long as they offer good support on their products.
