Default 9800 GX2 Clearance

Hey! Im planning on putting togather a new PC using an Antec P182 case and was wondering if anybaody has had any experience with installing a 9800 GX2 into the case. I want to make sure that the card will fit before I dish out the money for it, and I know how long the high end nvidia cards are... any info is welcome! Thanks!

The nice thing about the P182 is that they have those two removeable HDD cages, so if the card hits one cage, just take it out and use the other for the HDD's. How many hard drives do you plan on using?

Wow, that was fast...

I plan on only using two HDs, so not having one tray accesible is an option. And i still have room for expansion with the bottom one!
Well i guess that anserws my question, thanks!

Hard drives tend to get toasty in the bottom cage. For even more info on the Antec P182:

Ah you're in luck, check out my sig, I'm still writing up my little user review of the 9800GX2, but here's some of the images im going to be using.
azianai/P182 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
note that the older images are of the 8800GTS G92 i had b4.
You can technically fit the GX2 in the P182 without removing the middle drive bay, but as you can see i stuck a scythe Ultra Kaze 3000RPM fan there to help keep the card cool, so i removed the HD bay (it would've blocked the airflow). The retention brackets for the middle HD bay for the side fan attachment wouldn't work with the GX2 due to its length.

Thanks for the help azianai! Pics really helped me vizualize what im going to be doing with this rig. I think Im going to take a page out of your book and add another fan on the front to help cool the vid card, cosidering this is going to be put in a place where the airflow is less than nominal...
