| HL's Technomancer | Ok guys, I'm in the process of overclocking this beast and want to know what results others are getting for those brave enough to tamper with their $400 cards. ![]() I've got mine right now at Core: 620/Shader: 1435/RAM: 951, temps at 70C with 4 instances of rthdribl running and no system hangs or noticed artifacts for well over an hour. Using Rivatuner as Vista 64 hates ATItool's driver...out of curiosity, you think the artifact scan on ATItool would still work even though it doesn't detect the card? Anyway, whatcha guys got? |

| I'm Diggin it! | My EVGA 8800GTS 640 is at 630/1458/900 for now. Highest temps so far was 60°C using rthdribl. Haven't tried ATI tools. Low level fan control set to 85%. | HL's Technomancer | Hmm, just about what I have. Thanks for sharing, I'm looking to get a good median of what people are achieving. Current: 620/1435/1006 at 71C with 4 instances, I can take it higher but kinda leery for now. |

| T-Rex | 8800GT @ 725/1790/1050 Haven't honestly checked load temps all that much. Edit: Switching between 47C and 48C using 4 RTHDRIBL instances at 640*480 windowed, 16X AA with detail maps. Zalman VF1000LED fan on full. Edit 2: Rivatuner v2.08 under Vista 64 used to monitor core temp. Last edited by polobunny; March 10th, 2008 at 21:56. |

| Colonel Calamity | wow I would be happy just to get a 8600 or higher... feel lucky you even have a 8800 ![]() Like our reviews always say: First and foremost, overclocking results are never guaranteed. Many factors can influence what a system is capable of, including complimentary components (motherboard, processor, power supply), user experience, and simple luck of the draw. Two identical systems will not necessarily yield identical results, and anything over the rated specification should be treated as a bonus, not an expectation. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. |
