Default 85.10 Drivers

Okay, ive read your recent review of an Asus motherboard where you use 85.10 beta drivers to run tests etc. Im very curious (as are many others) to know where and when i can download these drivers.

Thank you for your time.

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

Rich was having problems getting his A8N32-SLI to cooperate, and since I own one myself, I ended up doing the testing/benchmarking. The driver version used was actually 84.21, the latest available on nVidia's site..

So was it a miss print or did he in fact have them but sense you did the benching, you just used the last official drivers?

Thanks for the replys!

It was a misprint in the sense that I forgot to edit that detail before posting, but I can't verify what driver version Rich has his hands on. I'm sure he'll chime when he gets a moment to log in.

Rich (Capper) has always said he uses the beta drivers from Guru3D. He says he usues the beta drivers because they are usually pretty close to the actual release version. Not sure why he always insists on using the beta versions though...
Most of the beta drivers are usually available through that Guru of 3D site though.

Personally, I always like to just stick with the official releases to make sure I have eliminated as many causes for instability as possible. I think Rich just likes to stay ahead of the times, haha :P

Yeah, but I think the confusion stems in not being able to find the 85.10 betas. I did a quicky search on Guru3d and couldn't track them down. Therein lies the mystery.... :P

AAAHHHHH, I see. Sorry about that one.
Rich is very much under the weather right now, so just be patient and wish him a safe and quick recovery
We'll get to the bottom of this eventually.

cool man, you guys have been alot of help so far. Im a beta driver freak myself. I was actually reading some random post in the guru forums, where some one linked to a page discussing a possible future beta driver release named the 85.10 build. Further reading through that site, i tracked the source here, where you mensioned it in a mobo reveiw of an asus board! Sooo yeah long story short, after some half ass shirlock holmes work, here i am.
BTW i just got over the flu so im sure Rich and i are in the same boat, so i wish him well.

Thanks again.
