| The 8800GT is a great card, but it depends on the budget. Others of interest are the ATi HD3870, ATi 3850 or the 9600GT. The 8800GT will give you the best preformance though (out of the cards I listed). |

| Look at my sig, recently with the help here I built the bottom system. The EVGA 8800 GTS KO at 678 Ghz is really rocking my games out. From everything I read, and I think I did read everything, the 8800GTS with 512 mb is very close, IN GAMES, to a 9800 GT and 9800 GTS. Too close to care unless you care about very few FPS. I think the in game performance is a much better indicator than the benchmarks for personal choice and in game satisfaction. | Alright so 8800 GT and 8800 GTS Is there a considerable performance difference between the two Also, im getting XFX's geforce series here locally. Is there a difference between XFX and eVGA Geforce? I have decided to go with Dual so that save me some money which i can use to buy a better card than 8800 GT Motherboard CPU Type: AMD Athlon XP 1700, 1215 MHz (11 x 110) Motherboard Name: MSI KT4AV (MS-6712) (6 PCI, 1 AGP, 3 DIMM, Audio) Motherboard Chipset: VIA VT8377A Apollo KT400A System Memory: 1024 MB (PC2100 DDR SDRAM) BIOS Type: AMI (10/03/03) Display Video Adapter SAPPHIRE RADEON 9600 ATLANTIS - Secondary (Omega 3.8.413) (256 MB) Last edited by Ibn Saeed; June 3rd, 2008 at 10:38. |

| I am a EVGA fan due to product quality, customer service, and ability to upgrade within 3 months to a new card with buyback of your old one. From what I have seen XFX is good also. PS. Tigerdirect.com has some video reviews that helped me see some of my products in action. Also Xtremesystems.com, overclockersclub.com, 3dgameman.com....all helped a bit. But I mostly bugged the folks here at HL> And thank them greatly! If you do go for the 8800GTS, make sure its got 512mb memory as thats the newer core which blows the old one away | |

| Can you elaborate on the point where you said "product quality" How is XFX's product quality different than eVGAs' Motherboard CPU Type: AMD Athlon XP 1700, 1215 MHz (11 x 110) Motherboard Name: MSI KT4AV (MS-6712) (6 PCI, 1 AGP, 3 DIMM, Audio) Motherboard Chipset: VIA VT8377A Apollo KT400A System Memory: 1024 MB (PC2100 DDR SDRAM) BIOS Type: AMI (10/03/03) Display Video Adapter SAPPHIRE RADEON 9600 ATLANTIS - Secondary (Omega 3.8.413) (256 MB) |

| Down to your budget in the end, if you have the extra then im sure you wont be dissapointed with the 8800GTS, if not then your not losing much in preformance. I'd say the 8800GT overall though, just seems a better deal. |
