For what I can see in the pics, it might be overheating or you OCed it too much (if you Oced it).

Also, you might wanted to ask one of the moderators to move this to it's own thread.

Good Luck, and welcome!!

Even if it isn't OCed, there has to be a cooling problem there somewhere.

I wouldn't say too easily that the system is bottlenecking the video card any, but it's a possibility.

I'd make sure the extra 6-pin connector is plugged in (if your card has one), and either way make sure the fan on the card is spinning (unless it doesn't have a fan...in which case the cooling problem is most likely).

Well thanks for that I will certainly try it, the graphics card does have a fan and it does turn, I do not know what OCed means but I assume that mean over clocking which I have not done lol. Since you have not commented on my computers specs I therefore can assume its nothing to with my computer in that respect.

Well I checked that the fan is turning on the graphics card and I cleaned the fans yesterday so is temperature is normal. So if its not that then I do not know what else it could be so if you have other suggestons I look forward to hearing them on here.

Wow bummer. I had 2 different 7600gs video cards go bad in my daughters computer, I don't know if it was the computers fault or the video cards were bad. Usually heat causes the problems with video cards or a bad driver install.

do you have another computer system that you can test the card in?

Oh and what brand is the video card? Asus, XFX, BFG . . .

One more thing is this AGP or PCI Express?

Uninstall your graphics card drives via Add & Remove software, make sure there is NO previous drivers left from some older card you may of had. Reboot the system, install you new drivers, once that is done, reboot again, go to
DirectX® 10and download the newest version of DirectX, see if that works.
