Oh good god. $390 bucks for a motherboard? Since when did mobo's became as expensive as a mid range/higher tier videocard?

Some people prefer flat in that they're easier to route in certain situations, and also have less possibility for electrical interference. Although, I prefer round ones.

I am just finishing testing on the P5E3 Premium as we speak. At first glance its just the P5E3 Deluxe with the X48 chipset....minus the remote. however it OCs a bit better than the X38 board, 533FSB for the X48 compared to 510FSB for the X38....it also OCs the memory a bit better, topping out at 1893MHz, compared to 1821MHz.

With a more mature BIOS I expect the gap to widen quite a bit.......they are still on basically a beta BIOS.

I prefer flat ones to be honest. They can be bent any way while the rounded ones are somewhat hard to route in most situations because they're stiff.

Oh, and $400 boards. Soon enough we'll see some 8 megabytes hard drive for a few thousands... RadioShack will sell them.
Ridiculous pricing really.

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

We all know there is some serious price gouging that goes on when a new "buzz product" hits the market.......Look at the E8400, it was supposed to be sub $200, and right now most places are selling it for $270-300.

The X48 is supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread....How many threads have we seen where people were waiting on a new board for the X48...not just here, but at EVERY forum? In all honesty, its a decent bump for the OCer from the X38, which was a decent bump from the P35........if anything, the high clock speed memory performance is much better, and the overall overclocking experience is a bit better.

Give it a month, and the prices should be more in line with reality.
