Default SATA help

I've got 6 SATA slots on my MOBO. GPU takes up 2. HDs take up 2. 2 DVD drives take up 2. Am I done? Is ther ea way to add or extend my internal SATA connections? Thinking about adding 3rd HD, but where do I plug it in?

Yes, you can buy an internal SATA controller card. Prices vary depending
on OEM and how many SATA ports you want, the more ports, usually the more expensive.

Why is your GPU taking up two SATA ports?

You can probably get some of those 90º angled SATA data cables to use on the ports covered by the video card. Otherwise, you could get one of those PCI add-in cards that sports a SATA controller and several extra ports too like Dread mentioned.
