Default PLEASE HELP!!!! M2N32 sli-deluxe

Ok, so last firday my Danger Den tower 26 came in and friday night I got everthing switched over from my Tjo6. After the leak test ( about 2 hr) I proceded to hook up everything and then vista was up and running. My computer procedded to work flawlessly Satuday and all of this morning. Finally, today I packed my tower 26 in my car and drove back to school. I get back to my apartment and my Pc now hangs at the bios Post screen. I have checked all my connections (Even unplugged and re-plugged every power cable from my PSU, video cards, sata, ide drives.), I have taken out All but 1 GB of ram and I still get the ole PC hanging at the POST screen.

1 out of 10 manual restarts will allow me to get into the Bios menu. I have not over-clocked my cpu or ram. Nor have I changed voltage settings. This setup has worked flawlessly for 2+ years now. I have 2 segate sata II drives in raid 0 and one old IDE drive. When I can get into the bios menu it does see my X2 6000+ and my RAM, allong with my RAID 0 partition and my IDE drive. What's the deal here>??

I must say that I have not had ANY problems with this board and Have only updated the bios (About 1.5 yrs ago) without any problems. I was able to go past the bios post screen twice tonight and it proceded to load vista (GUI screen ) but then gave me a Blue screen and did a memory dump (I didnt know what error it gave since it restarted so quickly)..However I cannot get past the bios screen now cuz it FREEZES:ba nghead:

Please any help would be appreciated.

you didnt do a long enough leak test imo. 2 hours will not show a slow leak. first thing i would do is check for any leaks. look on the motherboard and make sure no water has leaked on it.

you've already checked all the slots IE ram/video cards/ect, so the next thing i would do is clear the cmos. unplug the computer, remove the little battery located on the motherboard and find the jumper or cmos clear button on your motherboard (location and procedures should be in the manual) after clearing the cmos, switching cmos jumpers (if your board has them) and returning the battery, i would try to restart the computer.

I am running that exact same motherboard, and my first question is: What bios version are you flashed to? Is it the 1201?

The reason that I ask, is some of the Bios versions for this board have reported the exact same symptoms.

Running a 6000+ chip, you really don't need a bios later than the 1201, it was one of the most stable versions to date. If you are in fact running that version, have you tried to jump the bios back to default? Also make very sure that your bios jumper didn't fall off!

I have checked for slow leaks and their are none present (put paper at the bottom of case and put pieces of paper towel arround the barbs)

OK, last night I cleared Cmos and but then it still hung at the post screen so i shut if off for the night. I turn it on this morning and I got past the post screen and was able to boot into Safe mode on my Raid 0 Partition. Once I restarted however, it still hangs at the post Screen. It seems like it wont hang at the post screen when i first turn it on , anything after that it will hang.

My dad has this exact same board with a 6000+ and two 8600GTS's in SLI, everythings watercooled...

The only thing I can say, is to take it all apart.
Take the watercooling off of the computer parts, but keep the loop in tact.
Let everything sit overnight, and with the WC loop, keep the pump running all night to leak test. (Make sure to have towels under the loop, JUST in case)

Also, when you let the board sit out, clear the CMOS. (just take out the little silver battery)

My suggestions, and this is exactly, btw, what I would do if I were you.
I've worked with watercooling plenty before, it's good fun , but if you got a problem with something, I ALWAYS take everything apart, clear the CMOS, and just let it sit, running the loop for leak testing.

Parker your saying that my problem is just a possible leak with my watercooling loop?? I cleared CMOS last night and the first boot i was able to go into my bio's and set all my previous settings (just time, date, Sata, NO OC'ing or anything) When I saved settings the restart still ended up hanging at my Post Screen. It seems as if when I start it from a cold boot it wont hang at my post Screen, any other Hard restarts after that and my Post Screen Hangs.

On a couple of the successful starts I was able to get past the Post screen and pick my boot drive. If I select my C drive (old IDE ) It will start to load the Vista GUI and then the screen goes black and I Get the BSOD with some error saying "C:\\ something\something\Registry...." its really fast because below the error message it says PHYSICAL MEMORY DUMP and then it gives the number in KB of how much memory it is currently dumping. THis is all I can see because this Screen flashes for Approx 2 Seconds and then Procedes to shut down that Drive and then restarts my Comp. OF course when it restarts it hangs at the POST SCREEN !!!!!!!!!!!! :( :(

Yeah, it doesn't sound like your problem has anything to do with the watercooling. Have you tried stingers tip?

My suggestion, if you haven't tried this already, would be to unplug and replug all the power and data cables, and reseat your memory, video card, and any other expansion cards. I've had this happen a couple times after moving a PC where something had become slightly unseated.

Also, sounds like a sweet rig, how about posting some pics?!

Ok so I was able to get past the bios POST (about 1 in ever 10 attempts and clearning CMOS for the 2nd time as well as unplugging\plugging everything back into the mobo) When I selected my Raid 0 array, it says my winboot.exe file is missing or corrupt....and my vista disk is in San Diego (76mi away) :( looks like no Computer for me., If i select my Ide Drive it crashes with a BSOD and a Physical memory dump. I still get it freezing at post though..

Should I dl a bios file and then Flash it from a USB stick? Throw it out the window? or Buy a new MOBO(I would hate to do this bc its been performing flawlessly for 2+ years now)..... THis is getting really frustrating

Try flashing to the 1802 Bios. This probably was one of the best.
But, I would do it with Asus flash utility found on there site, and a 3 1\2 floppy disk, if possible.

When flashing the bios, does it matter if I skip a couple releases instead of flashing every new version?? I dont remember which one I have ( I will find out when i can get past the POST). I know that version I have is at least 10-12 months old or older. I just dont want the situation to get worse because of installing a bios version that is "too new" compared to the current one that I have.

A floppy ?? :( I havent used/ had one of those in years. Is flashing it with a floppy more dependable than with a removable drive?
