Default My Gigabyte 965P-DS3 has no high speed USB ports
So yea, my Gigabyte 965P-DS3 has no high speed USB ports. When I plug something into one of the four ports on the mobo, it says "This device can perform faster"


so I was wondering if there was somewhere I can download new drivers, I tried @ Gigabyte's website but it wasn't there. I think when I reformatted last time I messed up the USB driver installation.

I have the original CD, but its at home, and I don't think either of my parents can find it amongst my CD collection.


:(

My PCI-4-port usb card and the 2 front USB are all high speed though.....

so... wtf?

look in the bottom right corner below the PCI slots and what version mobo is it? I use the 2.0 on any and all slots on this board.....
Another place you may want to look at is the BIOS to see if the higher speed is disabled.

ditto it should give an option in bios with my rev3.3 it gave me option to enable the USB high speed transfer... go check it out...

Its definitely a software driver problem. Should I try and somehow explain to my mom how to get that CD? or is it available somewhere?

the chipset driver is the same for all versions of this board

It's either the mobo drivers or a Windows update you're needing.

Get the Intel mobo drivers here.

Otherwise, I've only had this be an OS issue with Win2000 and WinXP SP1. Updating through Windows update fixes both.
