According to nVidia's website, it looks like only the newer X16 and XE and Ultra intel chipsets support the latest 65nm presler processors. But the nForce4 SLI intel edition is the only one that doesn't support it.

oh no. am I out of luck or what? I guess I will have to settle for a P D 830, 840, or 840XE? so no bios upgrade would help I guess

Nope, doesn't look like it.
That's a bummer man. Too bad Intel couldn't keep their poop in a group with their chipsets.

actually it seems that it is under testing (the P D 920 on the MSI P4N diamond): LINK...

I'm still waiting for the answer from MSI if there is a real chance of this. if worst comes to worse, I will get the P D 830 (2x2M L2 cache vs. 2x1M)

Sbohdan,
Give me 24 hors. I'll pull the board out and give it a once over with that processor....i need to get this review done first.
I'd recommend getting the Pentium D 9XX over the 8XX, the 9XX is showing to be a much nice processor

I tried the board with my new Pentium D 920....wouldn't even post.
I'll try to find a new BIOS tomorrow and take another crack at it.
