My computer is occasionally stuttering it acts like it freezes. It will stop responding for about 30sec maybe to 1 min. But then will be ok after that and it only seems to happen once in a while i checked the Specs my memory is compatible with my machine and everything seems to be in order from what i can see. If anyone else has had a problem like this let me know what you did so i can try it thanks for the help Last edited by a22shady; February 16th, 2008 at 18:02.

if the new board is ok and works well then i honestly don't think there's any harm in your RAM running at 1.8 vs 1.9 V. considering you aren't overclocking, as long as the system is performing properly then you should be good to go.

I agree. My G.Skill RAM which is supposed to be run at 2.1V works fine at 1.8V as well. Except when overclocking of course. E8400 DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL 4GB G.Skill 800MHz Sapphire Radeon HD3870 512MB Silverstone DA650W WD 250GB + Seagate 320GB

Hi, and welcome to the friendliest sight on the web. When did you re-install your OS? It sounds more like an OS problem to me. Maybe even a small BIOS problem. Bailey.

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | That's not necessary or beneficial when swapping processors, but always recommended when switching motherboards. There are ways of getting around a fresh/clean install, but your best bet is to start over to avoid any potential problems or quirks, such as unexplainable freezes... |

If you contact Microsoft and tell them you completely reformatted your hard drive, they will most of the time give you the "code" to reinstall the operating system on the computer hard drive again.
