what is ldt voltage and what does it do? Mine is set to 1.30 volts.

That's actually a good question and I would also like to know! I have some guesses, but I really can't be sure...

BTW, this thread is better suited for the AMD motherboard forum

alright. Well i'm just curious becasue mien computer has failed prime 95 again. IN test 2 and my cpu volts is at 1.525. I'm not really willing to push it much further.

My guess is your RAM timings need to be tweaked. That OCZ VX Gold is some tricky RAM and it only does well with very specific speeds/voltages/timings and doesn't really like doing anything else.

hmmm. RAM again huh? Well i tried running cs: source and it frose after like 2 minutes if that helps.

The timings are 2.5-3-3-6 Right now. The only thing that changed form ocing was teh last one. The (tras) it dropped. I could change it back to 8 i suppose?

LOL, well all that says is that it is unstable.
I think you need to get friendly with Memtest86+
Go into your BIOS and raise the voltage to 3.2v and change the timings to 2-2-2-7 and 1T and then start raising the HTT speed (while keeping a 1:1 CPU:RAM divider) and just go until memtest fails. Run Memtest for an hour or so each time to make sure it is stable. Then go back into the BIOS and increase the HTT another 1-5mhz and repeat. When Memtest fails, back off your OC to your previously satable setting, then test it in windows with games, 3DMark, and Prime95, and SuperPI.

The LDT voltage pertains to the motherboards HTT BUS.... and it affects the HTT multiplier and staility.
I've seen people recommend upping it a setting or two when they were having CPU stability issues, but i'd recommend raising it in moderation.

well. I can't run a 1 : 1 divider. LOL i already changed it to a 9/10 divider so i could get more out of my cpu. I raised the cpu from 2.2 to 2.4 ghz. My thinking is that its the cpu thats unstable. However, i'll try increasing hte RAM voltz.

I know. You need to focus on overclocking and testing one component at a time. Once you overclock and test your RAM and find its fastest speed, then you can start using dividers and such to overclock your CPU. One thing at a time

Its very possible you've hit a wall. An OC of 600MHz is not bad at all!
Keep in mind there comes a point where you are increasing the voltages or timings greatly, for a marginal gain.....one that in the end is not nearly worth the stress you are putting on your system.
