Default Intel pulls ATI chip set license!!!

With the recent AMD-ATI merger, Intel has pulled ATI's chipset license, and will no longer use their chips after the end of the year!!!

Wow Intel pulls off a nobrainer. Wonder how long it took them to come to this decision. Thats like GM saying it won't use Ford parts.

Just to bring some [late] clarification to this thread, Intel has not pulled ATI's chipset license, as confirmed here in ATI's recent Street News Flash.

On ATI's Intel License: There is no truth to the rumor that Intel has pulled ATI's chipset license. We continue to ship Intel chipsets under license.

There is really no reason for nVidia to get into the same bind because they aren't owned by anyone; they have no "offical" loyalties...

I don't like the trend of companies merging or forming alliances like nvidia and EA did. That and EA getting exclusive rights to NFL or MLB. Just seems to me that it will lower the quality of product without the competition.
