Everyone please welcome Bohdan Derchak or "Ranger XLT8" as he's known on the forums. This is Bohdan's first review for HardwareLogic....and he did suuch a great job we aren't going to let him get away. He'll primarily be handling all Intel related reviews for the site.

It has been a fast year for Intel Socket 775 users in the high-end market. Socket 775 is available on a wide range of chipsets, from hybrid 875 to 955x and now the 975x, which offers full support to run 2 PCI-E graphics card in ATIs Crossfire or in dual display setups, revised and beefed up power regulation, and support for Intels latest Pentium D 65nm processors, and Pentium D Extreme Edition w 1066FSB. All of these improvements allow Socket 775 to be versatile and most important, FAST and reliable.

Quick question for ya though on the chipset of that Foxconn board... How loud was that active cooling solution on the chipset? Out of control or manageable?

As for the chipset fan, it was not loud at all, quite manageable. Nothing like the Delta hairdryers we know
