| resident headbanger | I have this motherboard: Foxconn C51XEM2AA Motherboard Review When I power it up the small fan on the board itself spins @ max RPM. Sounds like a little airplane under my TV. This has been happening since I got it but I have been using speedfan to slow it down. Is there another way to slow the fan down so I dont have to do this everytime I turn on the computer? Speedfan will not save this setting due to the board isnt supported by speedfan. Thanks, -1 I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review |

| Modder-ator | Sometimes there are different fan speed options you can control in the BIOS under the PC Health menu, I would check there for something. If that doesn't work, you can always just unplug the fan from the motherboard and connect it to an external fan controller (like the Sunbeam Rheobus) and control it manually that way. | If you're not OC'ed I would replace the active fan with a passive fan from Newegg or PerformancePCS. My AM2 board is passively cooled and has no issues even with a small OC. Last edited by TobyRama; February 8th, 2008 at 05:23. |
