Default DFI expert SLI and PSU question...

i have a DFI expert SLI Lanparty
and a antec truepowerII SLI 550w
the psu has the 24 pin, but not an 8 pin, which is what the DFI mobo has...
would a 4 pin work? also, would i get more juice by using the extra 6 pin for a PCI-e card?

The 4 pin will work, in the pamphlet that came with your board there should be directions on which plugs to use.....do not use the PCI-E power connector!!!!
Never use anything except for what its meant to be used for.

You could always get a 4-pin to 8-pin adapter like THIS...
They are charging way too much for it, but maybe you could find it cheaper somewhere else...

He speaks the truth. Guess who wasn't being careful and used a PCIe power connector by accident? Yup, bad news...

By the way, JazzyJake, if you want an adapter, I can send you mine, I won't be needing it anymore, and if I should for some reason, I think I have an extra somewhere.

WOOOPS!
Was that the source of your problems with your Expert?
EDIT: nevermind, just saw that it was a fussy stick of RAM...
