Default BFG 680i SLI

I pick up this board next week. I hope I'm not getting "a pig in a poke" with this board. This will be my first Intel build in a while, hope I remember how to build one.

On a serius note.......What, if any quirks should I be looking out for with this board?

We haven't played with the BFG version specifically (which, from looking around the web, appears to have been build by Foxconn), but as far as the 680i chipset goes, it's a good choice. For any quirks that may exist specific to the BFG model, your best bet is to poke around their support forums. Also, refrain from running your RAM's voltage too high, as in 2.4V. You can read more HERE.

If it is built by foxconn it will be a good board. I am loving my foxconn board.

I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review

All the reff Nvidia boards are made by foxconn, at least last time I checked they were.............. All the bios are also supplied by Nvidia to the different vendors to be modded with their firm names and model numbers, so the bios are all basicly the same. The current version of the boards have been working pretty well and they have been getting some impressive OC results out of them. Any of the reff boards would be a safe pick for a quality high-end OC'ing/gaming rig.

Mountain Mods U2 UFO Chassis / XFX 680 SLi Lt / Intel E6750 / Corsair Dominator PC6400C4D 2 x 1 gig / BFG 8800GT / WD SATAII SE16 250 gig / Lite-On SATA DVD RW / OCZ Game XStream 700w.

Cooling: CPU Loop: Thermochill PA120.3 Radiator / Swiftech MCP655 Pump / Swiftech APOGEE GTX / "T" Line

GPU Loop: Swiftech MCR120 / Swiftech MCP350 Pump / Swiftech MCW60 / Swiftech Micro Rez.
