| With the Antec 900 they give you alot of screws......I'm in the process of trying to put this computer together and I noticed on my motherboard that there are, what looks like...sawtering marks around the holes that you put the screws in to screw the motherboard down. OK, in the screws that came with the Antec 900 case I see that there was some red felt/paper washers. Am I suppose to use these on the motherboard when I screw it down...they didn't really say what they were for. I'm not going to short the motherboard out if I don't use them am I? I mean all the screws got like a wide head that will definitely touch those sawter marks once I screw it down all the way. Also...before I screw it down....put the Zalman 9700 on before or after I screw the motherboard down? | you don't have to use the little washers!!! You are not going to short anything out by just using the screws ![]() I would suggest installing the CPU cooler before installing the motherboard. Also be sure to keep the motherboard laying on the anti-static bag that it came in when installing the RAM, CPU, and cooler ![]() | ||||||||||||||

| Many thanks Stinger.....another stupid rookie question....the face plate, I know to bend the 2 big ones inward at 90 degrees....do same thing with all the little ones or no? | Are you talking about the drive bay covers? at the front of the case? Could you be a little more specific on what part of the face plate? ![]() | ||||||||||||||

| The plate on the back....where you plug all your stuff into: mouse, keyboard, monitor, ect... I got the one that came with the motherboard in there now already. | Scott, you just snap the generic one that came with the case (if there is one) out and you snap the one that came with your mobo in. Hopefully that is what you mean. | LOLOLOLOL I know that part.....I'm talking about bending the little flaps that's on the plate itself...you know, all those holes for the stuff to be plugged in at on the motherboard. I know to bend the two wide ones inward (I read somewhere) at 90 degrees....do I bend all those little bitty ones inward also or just let them be. Only reason why I ask...I didn't want the flaps to interfer when I'm trying to plug a usb device in...and then have to take the whole computer apart just to bend those flaps in. I realize this is probably a no-brainer....but I've never been accused of being a mental heavy weight. ![]() Antec 900 Q6600, GO stepping, 3.21 MHz P5w DH Deluxe Sapphire Radeon X1950 Pro 512mb 2 Gb OCZ platinum revision 2 DDR2 6400 800hz OC to 892mhz Lapped Zalman 9700 nt 150gb raptor 320gb seagate PC Power & Cooling 750w PSU (2) lite-on 20x dvd burners 22 inch HP w2207 monitor. | ||||||||||||||

| OOOHHHH, I think I get what you are talking about now. Yeah, you can bend those little tabs back to about 90º or so, just enough so the motherobard can slide in under (or over) the tab without it getting in the way of the connector in the back. | ||||||||||||||
