| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.
| ![]() Chances are, if you know what a motherboard is, you've heard of Asus. Over the years, Asus has carved out an excellent reputation for their products, ranging from budget to full featured enthusiast level computing solutions. With the introduction of their most recent fully featured motherboard, the Asus P5E3 Deluxe is a top contender in the motherboard arena. Borrowing a bevy of features from their vaunted "Republic of Gamers" line of motherboards, the P5E3 Deluxe boasts Asus' exclusive AI Lifestyle technology, and a penchant for serious overclocking ability. | The remote is interesting but I doubt that it would get used often after the novelty wears off. The included heatpipe fans interfering with a aftermarket cpu cooler looks like a real possibility. Those Q connectors are a great idea, I hate trying to put those wires in tight spots. Man that price is a big turn off and the heat pipes possible interference is a little disappointing but seeing how it gets a 92 score from capper who does excellent reviews I have to believe that these are small issues. | ||||||||||||||

| The Final Word
| The heatpipes aren't that bad......out of the 5 coolers I put on it, none had an issue (Thermaltake V1, Zalman CNPS9700, Cooler Master Sphere, Scythe Ninja Copper, and OCZ Vendetta).....they aren't very tall. The remote might be a better option for a kid in a dorm room who uses their PC for everything....or it might be a better option on an HTPC motherboard, I agree it might be a bit of overkill on a $300+ board. Lastly, for all the people who aren't keen on an X38 board, saying its a marginal upgrade over a P35, and a waste of money with the X48 soon to be released....I say ppppppfffffttttt. This board kicks ass, between the great bundle and performance, its awesome, then throw in the BIOS and XMP support, and its the best board currently on the market......as long as you invest in a DDR3 kit for it. | How did the cpu fans fit when the fans were on the heatpipes? Kind of seems like it would be counteproductive with fans blowing every which way. | ||||||||||||||

| Nice review. That board is amazing. Dual Wifi antennas are neato for good reception. And then the 510FSB with the board voltages on AUTO is absolutely amazing, not to mention it's was a quad-core CPU.... Asus really did a nice job with this board. EDIT: IT seems every Asus wifi board I have owned, the first thing I did was remove the Wifi card as I use a wired LAN. But I might attach it again and see is I get a better ping.
