Default another mobo problem

After discovering mt 630i had a NB problem, i decided to opt for a Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H motherboard instead. i switched everything from my Asus over to my gigabyte, and i cant even get it to turn on. I took it in to where i bought it, they tested it and it started up fine. . Any ideas on what could be causing the issue with it not starting for me? Everything works fine in my Asus, so im kinda lost...

not since i had it plugged the HDD into the 630i board. would that affect the board powering up?

no, it won't.....I didn't know it wouldn't even fire up......

Make sure you have the front panel connectors attached properly (+ to +, - to -, etc). then take your time and retrace everything....see if you see any lights on the board, if not check the power cord, or power switch on the back of the PSU.

Then check the power connectors on the board (from the PSU).

ok, we need to isolate the issue.......if the board is not getting power.......it can be the button on the case, the PSU, or a wire.

I need to get some sleep right now.....but tomorrow morning we'll cover shorting the power jumpers on the board to see if its the case or the wire......then we'll work from there.

Beyond all Capper mentions, you are connecting the power for the processor correct? Somewhere something is missing here. Likely something simple is being overlooked. Like Capper said, start isolating and looking at things.

I plugeed the 24pin connector and the 4 pin connector in. plugged in my hard drive, my dvd burner, the processor and hsf are in. hooked up the power switch from the case, plugged in motherboard, put in ram, turned on power supply, then pushed power switch on case and......nothing

did you connect the case to the motherboard, check and make sure the connections are correct, this is where I usually FUBAR my connections.
