Default 965P-DQ6 and the Rocket II cooler question

I bought the 965P-DQ6 and the Rocket II cooler a few months ago . I got my computer put together by a tech at reputable computer store in my area . Anyways the tech told me that I can only use 2 sticks of ram with that motherboard and cooler combo since there i2 tabs from the Rocket II that sticks out and covers up the far left ram slot!! Is there anything I can do to get around that?? after opening the case I most admit that it's not really a good design the tabs are totally covering the slot making it impossible to put a ram stick
I am using Corsaire XMS Dominator rams with heatsink on top

Thank You!

I actually used that combination, and didn't see that problem at all....the tabs came close to the #1 DIMM slot, but didn't come into contact with the DIMMS themselves.

I believe you can actually set up that Rocket Cooler with the tabs facing any way you want.

so basically your tabs are going up or down mine are right of the cooler but are the tabs touching the top heat sink from the mobo??
I didn't install it how hard would it be to turn the the tabs at 180?? does your ram have heatsinks on top?? the ones i have the heatsinks are almost half the height of the rams regular ram might fit there but I would need to uninstall the cooler!!
