Default What is better?

I have a couple of questions.

1. i'm running an E6600 processor(1066FSB), is it better to run 667mhz or 533mhz ram? im wondering because i was reading how ram s multiplied by 4 or something like that? will 667 slow me down?

2. is kingston HyperX any Good?

1. It's best to run your memory in a 1:1 ratio with your processor.

2. Kingston HyperX is good.

667MHz is faster than 533Mhz. The speed of the RAM and the FSB don't really have to be related in any way, but faster is better (of course).

And Welcome to HL!

667 is of course faster than 533 because it is higher but if we were overclocking you would want to keep the FSB and the ram frequency 1:1 for the most performance.

What OS are you running? Vista sucks down more RAM than XP... If it were in XP, I don't think there would be a huge difference. Not sure about Vista...

And please make a sig, as per the forum rules.

I think you'll see an improvement with 3GB over 2GB then.
