Default Warning on BH5 high vdimm

If you run a high (3.2v+) vdimm and a low vcore you're risking killing the CPU. So if you have BH5 memory & not raising the vcore above stock on your CPU you're putting a lot of current into the mem controller and could be causing permanent damage.

EDIT - This is for A64 CPU's.

just asking but what evidence do you have to support this claim, only because i have been runing at 3.4-3.5v for almost a year and have not yet killed a CPU, both my winchester and X2 have been running just fine. The memory is also standing up just fine, good old BH-5 from kingston :)

This has been a pretty widely circulated bit of info which originated from OCZ Tony (AKA BigToe) here so I would say it's pretty reliable info because he definitely knows his stuff. As with anything YMMV.
