Default Ram Stop Working....

after almost every Lan I attend.

I have 2gb(1gb each) Kingston ValuRam and after I get home from a fun time at a lan party, one stick or RAM almost always stops working. I rma'd the last time and everything was working perfect until I got home from the lan to have the same thing happen again. Has anyone experienced this kind of frustrating thing?

That explains why I see cases with locks on them being sold on the egg and elsewhere.

Have you tried reseating the ram after you get back? Maybe it's working it's way loose? That's the only thing I could think of that would cause that on a regular basis.

I've pulled the ram out and and reinstalled and I get "system memory failure" when both sticks are in. I checked one at a time and one works and the other doesn't. The working stick works in both slots and the non working doesn't work in either slot.

Kingston value ram sux the "happy sack" (lol i learned that one today and have used it 4 times already, thanks to whoever said this in another thread) Anyway, I would pony up for some decent ram, I have never had any luck with kingston, I had 2 bad sticks in a row, luckily I got them locally so I just exchanged them for some Geil(damn good ram). I dont trust anything that says kingston on it anymore.

I myself have had nothing but problems with Kingston RAM on any motherboards that have the nforce chipset... first major problem was with the A7N8X and then on a few others since. As soon as another brand is used, it works perfect.

this is from their manual as supported memory from Kingston:

256MB KINGSTON Heat-Sink Package 3 N/A SS KHX4300K2/512
256MB KINGSTON V58C2256804SAT5(ECC) N/A N/A SS KVR400X72C3A/256
512MB KINGSTON V58C2256804SAT5(ECC) N/A N/A DS KVR400X72C3A/512

256MB KINGSTON D3208DL3T-5A N/A N/A SS KVR400X64C3A/256
256MB KINGSTON A2S56D30BTP N/A N/A SS KVR400X64C3A/256
512MB KINGSTON V58C2256804SAT5 N/A N/A DS KVR400X64C3A/512
