|  quick question i was wondering... my computer can only run as high as 667mhz ram. am i able to put in 800mhz and have it run at the lower speed? im just waiting for my new board to come in and i wanted to pick up the new ram this weekend. and i was thinking of using it until i got my board in. | Re: quick question basically your mobo will down speed your ram to 667mhz, because that is what its only capable of if i read the specification correctly... | Re: quick question it happened to my Intel B975XDX mobo, i uses Corsair 6400 and it just freeze up everytime i manually bump it to 800MHZ, so it basically downspeed it to 667mhz, sometime it also made it to 533mhz with auto calibrate in the bios. | Re: quick question yes i did check it, everytime i turn it to auto in ram settings in bios it down speed it, and everytime i manually set it to the manufacturers ram specification it gives me a BSOD...
