Default PC2-8500 being recognized as PC2-6400

I have 4gb of OCZ Reaper 1066mhz RAM, and CPU-z is telling me it's only DDR2-800mhz... D:

According to my motherboard's manual, all I have to do is set the DRAM Frequency to DDR2-1066mhz.. And I did, but it still doesn't work?

This is what I see in CPU-z:

It sees it as 800mhz but it is running it at the right speed. Its working how it should, just not displaying as it should. How very odd...

according to the cpu-z image you posted, your memory is running at DDR2-1068 (534MHz x 2) 5-5-5-15-2T so yes, its fine

It's strange that on the Speed tab it says it's max speed is DDR2-800MHz though. It's almost as if it wasn't detecting the EPP profile. At any rate, judging from the Memory tab like RAID said, everything is running smooth. :)

i've seen that before on other 1066 kits. you can see the epp#1 profile is correct though (1066 cas5 2.1v)

The Speed tab is just what the module has programmed into the SPD chip......sometimes when they are matching modules up to make a kit, the SPD chip isn't programmed correctly....that doesn't mean its a bad module, or won't run the rated speed, it just means that it was programmed at a different speed.....it happens quite often.
