Default OCZ Reaper 1066 problem

hey guys, im sorry if i seem a bit noobish but im new to this overclocking thing, i recently bought an asus maximus formula mother board and OCZ Reaper DDR2 dual channel 1066mhz ram, only one problem, when i run ocz it shows the ram frequency at 400 and its saying its single channel, if its really 1066, shouldnt the frequency be at 533? any help is welcome seeing as how i want my pc to run at its fullest

What two slots are the RAM in on the motherboard? They should be either both in the blue slots or both in the white slots. This will make it run in dual channel mode.

You can just manually bump the speed up to 533. There shouldn't be any issues if you run the RAM at it's rated voltage and put the timings on auto.

And welcome to HL!

Go into the BIOS and manually set the frequency to 533. Make sure that you have the voltage at the manufacturer specs also. Keep the timings at auto though, they will change automatically when you raise the speed to 533.

Usually timings have to be set manually in the bios...

But you can set them to "auto" too.
