| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Founded in 2000, OCZ Technologies has fashioned a stellar reputation in the enthusiast community, one which started off as being synonymous with high quality performance memory. Since that time, OCZ has taken the computer world by storm, branching out with flash media, cooling, power supplies (both OCZ branded and, more recently, PC Power & Cooling), videocards, and even full blown boutique systems (HyperSonic). But for as much as they've grown, OCZ hasn't forgotten their roots, as they continue to blaze a trail when it comes to cutting edge memory kits. And that's good news as DDR3 struggles to burst into the mainstream market. Rich Caporali OCZ Platinum PC3-12800 2GB Memory Kit Review |

| Wow what a good kit of memory AGAIN from OCZ. Nice review to guys. This is the type of RAM that last on the leading edge for almost 2 years... like the former D9 DDR2 chips.... | T-Rex | Looks like a very good kit. I'm always somewhat surprised though, mostly by the benchmark results. DDR3 doesn't seem to be that much of a performance boost over well matured DDR2 technology. I guess it's still not the exact right time (in my opinion) to move from one to the other, even less considering the incredibly low and aggressive pricing on DDR2 kits. However it's still better than what we were saying when the first DDR3 kits came out, which is a good sign the technology is maturing, albeit slowly. |

| I couldnt see DDR3 catching on the begin with, but with prices getting so much lower, I can see it catching on now. Im glad I bought this hybrid board. Nice review |

| aka Mike Honcho | same thing happened a few years ago with ddr2. there were no performance gains and it was expensive. then prices leveled off and speed/timings got better. although i don't recall ddr hitting rock bottom prices like ddr2 is currently doing.
