Default OCZ plat. revision 2 questions/trouble

OK....what's going on here. Getting errors with 890 4-4-4-15 2.2v, 712 4-4-4-12 2.1v, 875 4-4-4-15 2.1v, 715 4-4-4-12 2.15 v.

I can't underclock it or overclock it without errors popping up on memtest+ in 20m to 11 hours.

Any ideas? the cpu has been overclocked from 3.21 to 3.15 during these tests by the way.

I've been trying different volts, timings and speed on the memory. You'd think it would be happy being underclocked.

When I first got the memory I ran it for about 11 hours at stock speeds and 1.9volts with no errors. I was waiting till I did some oc'ing before I ran a full 24 hours of tests on it.

You don't state in the thread or sig what the rated speed of the RAM is.
Also, are you OC'ing with what ratio, or asynch'd?

pc6400 800hz.

configure Dram time by spd.....disabled.
Hyperpath 3....disabled
Dram throttling threshold...auto (default in bios)
mem. remap feature...disabled (default in bios)

I am assuming it's been at 4:5 this whole time....(when I was done overclocking the cpu I changed the ram speed to a faster speed.)

Any idea at what I'm doing wrong here?

for the underclock 2.1v MIGHT (i stress that) be too high. maybe the ram just doesnt like the overclocking (or underclocking). strange though

Have you checked/verified with CPU-Z what the RAM is actually running at? Click on the Memory tab (not the SPD tab), and let's take assumptions out of the equation and see if we can you cooking with Crisco.

Failed in about 45 minutes...test #7

cpu-z says 1:1

Currently running test 446 Mhz (ddr 892) @ 4-4-4-12 with 2.2v

Try putting the processor back to stock speed (or close to it) and see what happens...

What is the stock voltage on that?

Set everything back to stock including voltage......... See is MemTest gives any errors............

Ok, setting everything back to stock...cpu 266 and memory at 800, 2.0v with 4-4-4-15 and running a full 24 hour test, even though I hate to do it. Better to find out if the sticks are 100% stable to begin with i guess.

I was wondering...I have "dram throttling threshold" set to "auto"....do you think that's the culprit?

What are the other choices other than "auto" in the DRAM throttling threshold"? I don't really think thats the culprit, but it could.

A 24 hour would do your system good.(Maybe)
