Corsair Announces Committed RAM Allocation from Infineon, and Continued Support for AMD Enthusiasts

-- Using exclusively Infineon’s Rev. C DDR SDRAM, Corsair’s XMS-3500LL PRO 2GB kit ramps up to deliver ultra-low latency performance --

Fremont, CA (March 1, 2006) – Corsair® Memory, Inc., a worldwide leader in high performance memory products, today announced broad availability of Infineon’s Rev. C DDR SDRAM-based XMS-3500LL PRO 2GB kits. Known to have the best overclocking characteristics, the XMS 3500LL PRO modules using Infineon’s Rev.C DDR SDRAM deliver more overclocking headroom and latency flexibility than any other RAM. Starting today, all of Corsair’s XMS-3500LL PRO modules will be built exclusively with custom-sorted Infineon’s Rev. C DDR SDRAM.

Designed to support high performance motherboards like the ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe/WiFi, Corsair’s XMS-3500LL PRO is the industry’s first high density memory guaranteed to deliver blazing-fast performance of DDR437 (218MHz) at low latencies of 2-3-2-6-1T. To allow for maximum compatibility, the memory features Corsair’s proprietary Plug and Frag™ memory SPD, making it the most ideal choice for the AMD platform.

“Corsair is the de facto leader in the enthusiast memory space. Infineon recognizes the importance of engaging with Corsair directly to support this influential customer segment. We are very happy that our Rev, C 64Mx8 DDR1 RAM is being used exclusively in Corsair’s XMS-3500LL PRO” said Ulrich Englert, Director of Product Marketing at Infineon Technologies North America. “Working closely with Corsair to ensure a steady supply of high performance Infineon solutions is available to the enthusiast and gaming communites was very important to Infineon. With Corsair’s proprietary in-house sorting process and worldwide distribution network, we are confident that our mutual customers will have the most satisfying memory experience,” Englert added.

“Infineon’s partnership and fabulous support on supply of Rev C DDR SDRAM means that Corsair will be able to expand our production of XMS 3500LLPRO modules. Demand for these fast modules has been tremendous!” said Richard Hashim, Director of Product Marketing. “With the newest games like Battlefield2 requiring more fast memory, demand for fast 1GB modules and 2GB kits has outstripped our supply. We have been in constant allocation. But now with Infineon’s Rev C DDR SDRAM support we plan on ramping supply and aggressively marketing this hot product” Richard continued.
