Default Wait for the E4400 or something else?

In August I will be going to college and I'm wanting to replace my current parts with a C2D. I have around $300 or so to spend (probably a bit more). I would like to overclock this CPU. Should I wait for the E4400 or get the E4300, while the E4300 is doing good? Any suggestions?

wait for the E4400 to come out. prices will drop on the E4300. with the money saved you can get a better overclocking board or ram

The review on the E4300 is in the other thread. E4300 Review

I think you should wait a bit though. I think the prices on the E4300 should drop when the E4400 comes out. Although, it's already pretty cheap, and they look like very nice overclockers.

You'll need a board, CPU and RAM. So I say you're better waiting and saving.

Well, it's only $8 cheaper than a E6300 is right now (E4300 I mean). The prices should shoot down with a E4400.

What all do you hope to replace with this $300 budget? If you want to get averagely decent parts for overclocking for $300, you'd have to spend less than $150 on a processor because decent RAM will run you $125-$150 and a decent motherboard is the same. Then you have to add in the cost of a better heatsink/fan for the processor...

What RAM do you have now?

EDIT:
Just for giggles, you guys gotta check out the most recent user review on Newegg for the E4300!!!

Pros: Thanks to all the computer tech jargon, but maybe give a first hand ownership review. Not speculation, okay? Runs faster than my P3 800mhz. Noticeable difference while running word 2.0

Cons: this is a great addition to my motherboard and my memory and my video card and my hard drive thingy

Other Thoughts: would very much like to use this computer chip to make work in my computer system to watch a game of the super bowl and root on to victory the team of my choice

This is the reason I look to new egg reviews as the end all when buying computer parts. Screw the high tech reviews, its the people like this that make me want to chunk my s939 system and start over.
