Default santa rosa laptops + T7300 = compared to desktop?

hi, i wanted to know this... after some carefull consideration of my current situ ive personally decided to wait for the 45nm processors and go for a laptop the Acer Aspire 5920G to be precise:

Acer Aspire 5920G Laptop LX.AGS0X.015 From Laptops Direct

my question is how powerfull exactly is the T7300 and will games benifit from the 1gb turbo memory on that laptop?

*edit* I misread, and was thinking of Intel Turbo Memory ... not nVidia's Turbocache

*edit2*
After some reading, I think that if you're looking to have a gaming laptop, you're probably better off to get one with a video adapter without Turbocache memory. The reason is you're getting less dedicated video memory on Turbocache cards than one without because the Turbocache take a small amount of dedicated video memory and steal some of your system memory to use as well.

It looks like it's really meant for a system that will in some occasions use large amounts of video memory - but the target audience doesn't want to spend the big bucks for large amounts of dedicated video memory

*edit 3* (getting sick of this? :P)
As for the CPU's speed. Well, it's rare that laptops can equal the speed of desktops with identical CPU/RAM/GPU because of the way they're built...but you can be sure that Core2 Duos are fast processors. I have a friend who has a 2ghz Core2Duo laptop from his work and uses it as a main PC over his older Athlon64.

it has 256mb dedicated and will not take up more then 768mb of system ram to run a game but what if i got it with 3gb or 4 gb ram would this help?

and this laptop would beat via testing a pc with 1gb ddr 400 ram, p4 3.2 ghz ht, nvidia 6200 gpu wouldent it?

I'm not going to say "well, this is what you should do with your money"...but to me it seems inefficient to go for the Turbocache and basically be forced to 2gb+ of RAM. This is basically the reason that laptops need to be faded away from hardcore gaming unless they give a HUGE pricedrop on video cards (hell, we need that anyway). However, if you're looking for a good gaming-capable laptop and don't have the money to spend on a laptop specifically made for gaming, Turbocache seems like a valid (while still slightly "lesser") alternative.

Probably in just about everything
