| It sounds like a good way to go Quad-core til true quad-core chips come out from Intel and AMD. Hmm, for the price of a Kentsfield chip, you can get a whole system, eh That's good enough for me to know - strapped for cash like I am right now ![]() Main PC: Intel Pentium D 930, Asus P5LP-LE, 2GB DDR2-4300 RAM @ 4-4-4-12, Lightscribe CD/DVD Drive, DVD-ROM, 300W PSU, GeForce 7300LE, Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II, HP Media Drive Port, 300 GB Hard Drive Laptop: 900 MHz Intel Moblie CPU, 512MB RAM, 4GB SSD, Intel 910 Motherboard, Linux OS (customized by Asus), 8.8 x 6.5 x 0.9 inches, 7.0 Inch screen, integrated camera, 2.0(without power cord)/2.4 lbs.(with power cord) _________________________________________ |

| Wow, it still got owned. But $599 for an FX-70. Sounds too good to be true.... Either way, a Core 2 Duo will come out of nowhere and give it a good ol' fashioned kick in the keister. - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 |

| I posted this up a while ago on the front page, I don't know if any of you guys saw it. In fact it may still be up there. I read it and found it very interesting. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |

| Colonel Calamity | give AMD a few BIOS updates and tweaks, not sure how it will compare to a QX6700 then but we will see... Love how the early naming was QX6800 and now officially found at Intel's website as a QX6700 ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. |

| I'm scared s***-less of BIOS updates. Ever since I killed my Abit NF7-S (Socket A) with a BIOS flash, I have avoided doing so. I always hear about people's "success" stories by doing a BIOS flash. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |

Anyway, as for Quad FX, I was never excited about it and now I know why! | |
