Haha, I'm running a E8400 at 3.6Ghz right now. It was as easy as putting the FSB to 400 and lowering the memory so it would be at 800mhz. Wolfdales are pretty good chips. :)

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

I'm either getting the E8400 or E8500 as soon as the government kickback cash gets here.

you'll notice a pretty nice improvement over the E6750. my video cards arent being bottlenecked as much by the E8400 compared the the E6750. plus overclocking these chips is pure bliss.

Been following some of the folks over at XS, those guys are clocking the holly crap out of these things.

My E6750 isn't bad, but it's also not the best OC'er out there either 3.7 is about it.

my E6750 topped out at 3.92ghz for 3dMark06 drag strip racing, but i ran it at 3.6 for total stability. ive had one E8400 at 4ghz with 1.275v and another that doesnt play nice with 4ghz. it wants more voltage than im willing to push (1.4v is my limit) the thing is the one that does 4ghz has screwed up temperature readings. usually the difference between cores is 10c+ where as the other chips temp readings difference is usually 1c-2c

The 3.7 I'm getting is stable with nice temps and volts, had it close to 3.9 with massive amounts of volts, my limit is 1.6...........;)

But I normally keep it at 3.6 for S&G's......................:) I like nice even round numbers.
