Default My not so amazing over clock!

Well here is my not so amazing over clock my athlon XP 1700

If i can get clock gen working I should be able to get a bit higher.

146Mhz is the max FSB it goes upto in the bios

What are the rest of the components in your system? Maybe you should look into Making a Signature... :thup:

Ah havent gotten around to the sig yet

well here are the specs

Athlon XP 1700 Palomino
Soyo SY-K7ada
768MB PC3200 running @ ~2400, yes ~2400
80GB HD
x800 pro moded to 16 pipes
other stuff

Looks like you have a good start on that overclock. I'd say try and get that FSB back up to 200. Is your Palamino multiplier locked?

Yes its multilocked, also the max FSB in the bios is 146MHz, if i could get some software OCing tool working, that would rawk

OOHHH, I didn't know that 146mhz was all the higher the BIOS goes up to. That sucks man! :(

Have you tried ClockGen? I don't see your motherboard listed in the compatability chart, so it is at your own risk...

What bios version are you using?

mobo versions:
SY-K7ADA

SY-K7ADA v1.0

Before upgrading my bios the fsb only went to 233, now it can go to 400....

What is the stock speed of your CPU? I was curious since you said you didn't think the OC was that much.
