Default my kingdom for an athlon XP

hey, trying to build a basic lan pc and was after an AMD athlon XP 3000+ and/or micro atx mobo with agp slots, I'll accept any reasonable price, must be willing to mail to australia, must be in working condition, un-overclocked would be a bonus but not neccessary. Any help trying to find the parts appreciated, please indicate what currency you ae using. thanks

wow, some of them CPU's are getting pretty hard to find and come by!!!

I have a 2800+ that I use as a media center, and a 3200+ that is my server, and I got to tell ya, the price some of these people on places like Ebay want for these things is crazy!!!

I seen a new OEM 3200+ go for $258.00 USD!!!! That is twice what I paid for my 3200 when they were popular.

I guess the bottom line is, you might be better off looking in the direction of a AM2 board and a 3600 dual core chip! It will probably be cheaper in the long run, and give you better upgrade ability in the future!

Oh yea, and

WELCOME TO HARDWARELOGIC!!!!

Yea mate, $99 aud for a 2100+ is insane!!!!

But you are right, the motherboards are very cheap, but they sure make up for it with the chips!!!

Another route to go, is look for a cheap s939 AMD setup and chip. They claim that it is outdated, but alas they are still a butt kicking system, and you can get motherboards that support the AGP video cards.

Just a side note, Tiger Direct does not have an online store in Australia, so you will have to place your order over the phone. The link Carl posted has the phone number.

Yes, the K7 generation gets hotter than the K8 generation.
So pick a s939 chip and get this baby rollin'. :)

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?
