Default Looks like 6400+ confirmed

Those of you who said you'd laugh your asses off if AMD released a 6400+, get the duct tape

Straight from Chinatown:
¹q¸£»â°ì HKEPC Hardware - ¥þ´ä No.1 PC°Q½×°Ï - µw¥ó±MÃD - 3.2GHz K8Âù®Ö¤ß³B²z¾¹ ¥þ´ä*º¸ÕAMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ -- Page 3
It's mostly illegible, but the screenshot says it all.

I wonder if they're still going to keep the 230 dollar pricetag?

This news story confirms a $240 price tag.

Well it didn't do much against the c2d6850, but it sure as hell spanked the heck out of the c2d 6750.

Go AMD!

Seems like kindof a waste of time to me. Sure it's great that AMD can get the K8 architecture to 3.2GHz, but this thing is probably pushing the heat envelope. With Phenom right around the corner, you might think they would concentrate resources on that, but this makes me wonder if they don't have anything to ride on with Phenom...

ROFLMAO! I would be, but I just woke up, and not in the mood.

EDIT: I agree with Blake, they should be concentrating on Phenom..................

I'm glad you agree, we had a 4 page thread about it sometime back last month. What really irks me is the 240 pricetag. Granted its a "massive" 200mhz difference from the 6000+ and double the cache, I still would rather have a 6000+ because at around 240 you start getting into the high end Core2s and the Q6600 is only 60 bucks more. A 6000+ at 170 is the better deal; still great performance and save 70 bucks. I'd rather hang on to that 240, keep the X2 I have now, and get a Phenom sometime this winter/spring.
