That's what I'm curious about too. I am worried intel will charge a pretty penny because they are the first kid on the block with quad-core. Does anyone remember how much the Pentium D's were when they first hit the market?

The cheapest Pentium D(920) apon release cost 300.00. I bought one the day 920 became available and with shipping it was like 323.00.

Right now the low-end Allendale(E6300) can be pre-orered for like 200.00.

The E6400 I pre-ordered cost 253.00.

My cousin just got a notebook with a 2.13Ghz Intel Core Duo. It's awesome. You might be seeing a review of it some day soon... hopefully
