| Re: Intel Being Sued Although it's very possible for UW and Intel to have developed the same or very similar technology with no infringement on Intel's part, I doubt that is the case. In today's business world, standard practice has become to "use" whatever technology you need, sell your product, make hundreds of millions of dollars, then pay a settlement of a few million dollars - all for an excellent profit. The fine or settlement is nothing more to them than part of the cost of doing business. Ethics have been completely thrown out the window and I can't foresee any significant change until the courts stop imposing meaningless fines and start throwing CEOs in jail. (Think of this past week's Merck fraud case.
