Default Graphene Transistors Demonstrated

DailyTech - Breaking the Silicon Barrier: Graphene Transistors Demonstrated

people have developed a transistor that is one atom wide and 50 atoms long!!! That transistor is smaller than alot of viruses! This is an advancement in technology for sure. Can someone say, nanotec?

I wonder when the technology will be mature enough to fab some
CPU's? Imagine the speed / design then. Can anyone say 10 GHz
Octo-Chip drawing a measly .01 V and shedding only 5-20 W?

It'll still take some years before this process can even be thought of to be used in the computer industry. The article says 2025. I think that may be reasonable, but do not be expecting anything closer than that.

excellent!!

due in 2020, the Intel DXXEE with 10 cores running at 10 GHz apiece capable of near AI processes...
also announced is MicroMac (MS buys out Mac in 2016) DirectX 12 which will allow for feature rich cranial connected games such as Halo5, BF2142 Pentagon expansion with realtime tapping into pentagon computers for realism, SimCity6 with realtime downloadable citied based on multiple satellite links, and Elder Scrolls: Time Portal where every type of player whether human, trolls and ogres get transported through time to modern day where the whole world can be explored from your couch, using the same satellite link found in other games.

anyways the prospects look awesome

Thanks HL and Corsair!
