| Oh yeah, dur. Speedstep must be enabled, it lowers the multiplier when the processor isn't under load to save power. Just goes to show I use AMD | ||||||||||||||

| LOL Speedstep is actually pretty useful. When your machine doesn't need the full power of the CPU, it underclocks - saves power and overall lengthens the life of the CPU. In any case, you can simply disable it in the BIOS. But fear not, there is absolutely nothing wrong with anything. | ||||||||||||||

| I didn't know Intel had a feature like that until a few days ago, I'm familiar with AMD's Cool'n'Quiet which drops your processor to 1GHz. Speedstep sounds more useful though. | ||||||||||||||
