Default E6600 COMPATIBILITY ????

HI I HAVE AN ASUS P5NE-SLI MOTHERBOARD. IM IN THE PROCESS OF BUYING A E6600 ON EBAY. HOWEVER ON THE LISTING IT SAYS THE FOLLOWING

IM CONFUSED IS MY BOARD NOT COMPATIBLE OR IS THIS LISTING WRONG AND THIS CPU DONT EVEN EXIST??????

it says here ASUSTeK Computer Inc. its compatible with quadcore dont know about C2D...

sidenote: dont use capslock...

Typically, they will only list the latest stepping on a series when talking about compatibility......everything before that should work no problem.

I have 3 of those boards sitting here......all dead. Worst ASUS board I've ever seen.

huys my current bios is 0202. thats is the minimum required for a b2 core stepping .so does that mean i wont need to flash for a b1.

its not that hard to flash the bios, just d/l it and use EZ Flasher.

And i found someone who'll buy my board for 85 bucks lol. It works fine just runs REALLY hot.
