Default Choose a "value" processors

Hello everyone ,
I am looking for a "value" processor that the price is below $50. I found few choices here :
1. AMD ATHLON 64-3200. Clock Speed 2.0 GHz, L2 Cache 512KB, HyperTransport FSB up to 2000MHz, Socket AM2
2. AMD ATHLON 64 LE1600. Clock Speed 2.2GHz, L2 Cache 1MB, HyperTransport FSB up to 2000MHz, Socket AM2
3. Intel celeron 430. Clock Speed 1.80GHz, L2 Cache 512KB, FSB 800MHz, Socket LGA775, xD-bit, EM64T
Please tell me about their performance, so I can choose one of them. Especially no. 2, the "LE-Limited Edition" label makes me worry, . Or maybe you have any suggestion for me. Thanks for your helpful.

Welcome to HL! What is the rest of your system, and is your motherboard AMD or Intel based, and what socket?

Celeron 430 has the best performance.

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

Please note that your motherboard has a socket type. It will only take specified processors made for its socket type. Now, on another hand, I would highly suggest saving a little more money and getting a non Celeron processor. Something with more cache then those processors. It will make a world of difference. A typical price range of 125+ would be better suited, but If you must get one for under 50 dollars, get the Celeron. You will have that 775 Socket and be able to upgrade to a later Core 2 Duo if you get that money.

For a paltry $25 more, you can purchase (assuming your motherboard supports it) a Pentium Dual Core E2160. It's basically a scaled down core2 chip, but can be easily overclocked to 3.2GHz (see TomsHardware Article). Even if you don't overclock, it still offers excellent performance for the price.

P5W DH Deluxe / E7200 @ 3.8 / 2GB Ballistix DDR2-800 / 7600GT (passive) / P180B / Zalman Reserator V2
