| Modder-ator | http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=2974 Pretty sad really. Even several AM2 processors are already getting axed (the 1MB L2 cache flavors). Interesting how s754 had a longer lifespan than s939 though! |

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | I don't know, I'm pretty geeked - it's not a big loss on the 1MB L2 cache front, as the performance boost just wasn't there, but the price differences sure were. With Conroe poised to kick a**, AMD needs to lure enthusiasts on the pricing front, and they're also needing all the Fab space they can muster. The Inq had a pretty decent read on the subject last week ----> LINK |

| I'm Evil | I personally think the cache has so little effect on performance that no one will notice INTEL QX9650 ASUS P5E3 Premium 4GB DDR3-1600 Sapphire HD 3870X2 Danger Den Tower-26 (Custom W/C) 5 x Seagate 250GB HDD in RAID5 BFG ES 800W PSU |

| T-Rex | Wow, I knew it was not too far but that close?! =/ I really don't like it, I just bought my OC-Z memory, I don't want to switch to DDR2 already  I'll try to grab an Opty 165 real soon so I can wait before buying ram again. |

I personally think AMD is killing off the s939 because the AM@ isn't a huge improvement, and they don't want to create competition for themselves INTEL QX9650 ASUS P5E3 Premium 4GB DDR3-1600 Sapphire HD 3870X2 Danger Den Tower-26 (Custom W/C) 5 x Seagate 250GB HDD in RAID5 BFG ES 800W PSU | |
